The Health Resources and Services Administration’s HIV/AIDS Bureau has an exciting update on the 2020 National Ryan White Conference on HIV Care & Treatment (NRWC). In light of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, the NRWC is officially going virtual! The conference dates will remain August 11-14, 2020, but the times will be adjusted to accommodate different time zones.

The health, well-being, and safety of all of our attendees is the top priority for HRSA’s HIV/AIDS Bureau leadership. We know many of the registered attendees and speakers are working on the front lines of the COVID-19 response around the country and around the world.  This virtual format will allow those on the front line to still have an opportunity to attend the conference and not take them away from the communities they are working hard to serve. The virtual platform will allow registered participants more flexibility to engage in this important event, however participants are still encouraged to attend the full length of the conference.

The NRWC theme this year is “30 Years of Innovating Care, Optimizing Public Health, Ending the HIV Epidemic,” which is timely as HRSA celebrates 30 years since the Ryan White Comprehensive AIDS Resources Emergency (CARE) Act was first enacted. This year’s theme also aligns with the Administration’s Ending the HIV Epidemic: A Plan for America, the 10-year initiative with the important goal of reducing new HIV infections to less than 3,000 per year by 2030.

The 2020 NRWC is open to all Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program recipients, stakeholders, federal partners, and people with HIV.  If you haven’t yet registered, there is still time. Registration is still open and will remain open until July 31!  Please visit the conference website to complete your registration.

If you are interested in exhibiting at the event, the NRWC is also pleased to offer digital exhibiting opportunities. Submit a request to exhibit today.
