The HIV.gov team is looking forward to supporting the 20th year celebration of the U.S. Conference on AIDSExit Disclaimer (#2016USCAExit Disclaimer). As one of our program goals is to use digital technology to amplify HIV resources anytime and anywhere, our digital activities will keep you engaged in the USCA conversation, whether you’re at the conference or not.
Digital Activities:
Facebook Live: In the last six weeks, we have created 20 Facebook Live videos featuring federal and community thought leaders at HIV conferences. And we’re going to do it all over again at USCA. For example, watch Dr. Richard Wolitski on Facebook Live from USCA on Sunday, September 18th, 2016.Social Media Lab: Get your social media and digital outreach questions answered at the NMAC social media lab. We can brainstorm about how to launch your next campaign, how to set up an Instagram account or develop a social media strategy for your organization. No appointment necessary.

Content Coverage Platform: FHI Crowd 360Exit Disclaimer is a great way to stay plugged in to the conference. We will be sharing daily digital articles, federal resources around the National HIV/AIDS Strategy, HIV facts, daily Facebook Live videos and blogs and more.
USCA Social Media Fellows Program: In collaboration with Black AIDS Institute and Gilead, we’re looking forward to a daily social media learning exchange with the 16 USCA Social Media Fellows. HIV.gov will be providing a daily update on social media platforms and sharing ideas on how each Scholar can amplify their messages.
Conference Sessions:
- SMA: Catalyst for Change in Racial and Ethnic Minority Communities: Established by Congress in 1999 as part of the Minority AIDS Initiative (SMAIF), provides more than $50 million each year to improve HIV-related health outcomes for racial and ethnic minority populations. The four workshops highlighting the impact of SMAIF programming across federal agencies will be:

- Closing Plenary: Handling a Shifting Prevention Landscape The final plenary will feature Dr. Richard Wolitski. Together they will offer key insights from the research, federal, national and community spaces on how these strategies are working and growth opportunities.
