World AIDS Day Flyer

Truth #1: We all want to extend the reach of our HIV related messages.

Truth #2: Some people might just be starting to think about what messages to post on social media platforms on and around World AIDS Day (December 1). Yes, the clock moves so fast.

HIV.gov can help you now, no matter where you are in planning for World AIDS Day. Below are resources for individual and organizational communication.

Go Visual
This year’s theme is “Increasing Impact through Transparency, Accountability, and Partnerships”. We have a poster and a flyer ready to go. You can download the customizable versions to publicize your activities.

Need a Twitter photo or Facebook cover with the theme? Find them (and other posters and resources) on our World AIDS Day resource page.

The World AIDS Day logo is available on the HIV.gov World AIDS Day resource page. There are several formats you can download and use. CDC, HRSA, NIAID and other federal agencies have other visual resources available for your communication. For example, here’s a resource page from CDC and resources from PEPFAR.

Spread the Word
There’s still time to join the World AIDS Day 2017 Thunderclap campaign. Launched by PEPFAR, it will help us all speak with one voice on December 1 and reaffirm that we’re closer than ever to #EndAIDS. We can only do this together. Join the Thunderclap hereExit Disclaimer.

Whatever you say about World AIDS Day, please hashtag the conversation with #WAD2017Exit Disclaimer

To point your followers to HIV facts, we’ve got resources on signs and symptoms, prevention and transmission, PrEP, and more in our HIV basics sectionCDC’s HIV pages are always an excellent resource too.

To encourage awareness of HIV status and getting into care, you can point to the HIV Testing Sites and Care Services Locator (and there’s a widget to embed the locator in your website).
