We continue to update COVID-19 and People with HIV, our page of resources from agencies across the federal government. We recently added two resources from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that address people with HIV during the COVID-19 public health emergency:

• What You Can Do If You Are at Higher Risk of Severe Illness from COVID-19 (PDF 348 KB)—This consumer fact sheet offers information for those at higher risk of severe illness from COVID-19, including those who are immunocompromised due to conditions such as poorly controlled HIV or AIDS.

• Interim Guidance on Handling Non-COVID-19 Public Health Activities that Require Face-to-Face Interaction with Clients in the Clinic and Field in the Current COVID-19 Pandemic—This CDC document provides guidance for protecting public health workers engaged in public health activities that require face-to-face interaction with clients in clinic and field settings. This includes prevention and control programs for HIV, TB, STDs, and other infectious disease activities that require outbreak or contact investigation, home visits, or partner services, and non-infectious disease-specific programs, e.g., syringe services programs, or occupational health activities. Disease-specific recommendations for people with HIV, hepatitis C, TB, STDs are included as an appendix.
