Several upcoming Affordable Care Act webinars will highlight the 2016 Marketplace open enrollment period and how to engage individuals at risk for and living with HIV, as well as other specific populations.

New Tools to Help You Monitor and Improve Enrollment

Thursday, October 8, 3:00 – 4:00 pm ET

Hosted by HRSA’s Affordable Care Enrollment (ACE) TA Center, this webinar for Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) grantees will discuss promising, organization-level practices to support the engagement, enrollment, and retention of RWHAP clients in health coverage. It will introduce two new ACE TA Center tools: a web-based self-assessment to help your organization assess and improve current enrollment practices; and a new framework to help RWHAP service providers use data to monitor and improve enrollment activities.

Best Practices in ACA Outreach and Enrollment

Thursday, October 8, 3:00 – 4:00 pm ET

Learn from faith leaders who have conducted successful outreach and enrollment campaigns before and during open enrollment. Hosted by the HHS Center for Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships, this webinar will feature a presentation from Abrar Quader from the Compassionate Care Network (CCN), which helped enroll people who are Muslim, Hindu and Sikh during the last open enrollment period.

ACA and Transgender/Gender Non-Conforming Patients

Wednesday, October 14, 1:00 – 2:30 pm ET

This webinar will highlight how the ACA has improved access to health care for transgender and gender non-conforming patients, best practices for navigating issues with insurance coverage, and challenges that still face the community. The target audience is HRSA grantees, health care providers, public health officials, and community advocates wanting to improve their competency in serving the needs of the transgender and gender non-conforming patients in their practices. Advance registration is required.
