The Black Treatment Advocates Network (BTAN)Exit Disclaimer is a project of the Black AIDS InstituteExit Disclaimer. The BTAN is an initiative is working to achieve the goals of the National HIV/AIDS Strategy through educating individuals about the science of HIV, the biomedical advances in the treatment of HIV and AIDS, and the role those interventions play in prevention.

BTAN has created a nation-wide army of highly-informed advocates within the communities most affected by HIV/AIDS. In turn, these advocates are empowered to help themselves and others to understand the significance of HIV testing, linkage to and remaining in care for HIV, and how testing and treatment can arrest HIV in their communities.
