Enroll through August 15. HealthCare.gov

Health care coverage enables LGBTQ individuals to access the health services they need. For many, this includes HIV testing, pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), and HIV treatment. However, without health care coverage, people are more likely to postpone or forgo necessary medical care and less likely to receive preventive services than those who are insured. Health care coverage is especially important during the COVID-19 health crisis, which is why there’s a 2021 Special Enrollment Period on HealthCare.gov. Due to the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency, anyone can enroll in or change Marketplace health plans through August 15.

We encourage LGBTQ people and their families, many of whom are at risk for serious COVID-19-related health and economic outcomes, to take advantage of this opportunity to get the health care coverage they need.

Help spread the word:

You may be able to get more savings and lower costs on health coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace.

  • Most people currently enrolled in a Marketplace plan may qualify for more tax credits.
  • Health insurance premiums after these new savings will go down.
  • 4 out of 5 customers can find a plan for $10 or less per month

You have through August 15 to enroll or change your Marketplace plan due to the COVID-19 Public Health Emerngecy.
