During today’s AIDS 2012 plenary session, Assistant Secretary for Health Howard Koh, MD, MPH, discussed development and implementation of the United States’ first-ever comprehensive National HIV/AIDS Strategy. Dr. Koh provided an overview of the Strategy’s three goals and shared brief examples of how the U.S. is working to achieve them. “As we build on the foundation we’ve established, we continue to benefit from the experience and expertise of our many domestic and global partners,” said Koh immediately after his speech. “My hope is that, together, we can seize this moment and channel this momentum toward the vision of an AIDS-free generation,” he added.
