In a post last week, we shared highlights (NMAC). Held prior to the start of the 2012 U.S. Conference on AIDS, also organized by NMAC, the Summit facilitated two days of intensive dialogue among about 150 participants from across the country, including executive directors of community-based organizations, senior state and local health department staff, and several leaders from community health centers. At the conclusion of the Summit, we had an opportunity to sit down with Mr. Kali Lindsey, NMAC’s Director of Legislative and Public Affairs. We asked Kali about the purpose and outcomes of the Summit. He also shared some details about what NMAC has planned to continue and expand the dialogues begun at the Summit and advance the “Declaration to END HIV/AIDS in AmericaExit Disclaimer,” which was released there. Watch our brief conversation below.
