HIV.gov is excited to announce that we’re working together with USAGov to extend our reach:

“By combining our teams’ experience, skills, and expertise, we’re working to expand the reach of our HIV.gov services, increase program innovation, strengthen cross-government alliances, and identify cost-efficiencies in communications. We’re working together to serve the HIV community more effectively.” - Miguel Gomez, HIV.gov Director

USAGov is the official guide to government information and services, in English and in Spanish. The federal program aims to make your life just a little bit easier by providing tips, tools, and answers on a wide variety of topics.

By partnering, we plan to extend the reach of our HIV.gov content by:

  • Sharing best practices for using social media and digital technologies
  • Establishing baseline measures for outreach activities, including email marketing and social media outreach
  • Increasing message amplification across our shared communication channels
  • Generating “lessons learned” to share with our audiences

We believe that working with USAGov will strengthen the activities of HIV organizations across the country by improving the way that we communicate with all our audiences. Ideally, our experience teaming up with USA.gov will serve as a model for how your organization can leverage relationships with other organization to improve communication about HIV. We will continue to share updates as we work together to address the HIV epidemic.

USAGov’s mission is to create and organize timely, needed government information and services and make them accessible anytime, anywhere, via your channel of choice. You can go to USA.gov for information on a variety of topics including health, housing, laws, and legal issues. USAGov can also help you find information on federal, state, and local government agencies and elected officials and about how to partner with USAGov community-based organizations.
