Participants in the recent Ready, Set, PrEP webinar asked great questions about the new HHS program, which provides pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) medications at no cost to thousands of individuals who qualify. And we’ve got answers. Today we share the initial batch of responses to those questions.

Over 1,500 sites across the country participated in the webinar to learn more about Ready, Set, PrEP. The program is a key component of the Ending the HIV Epidemic: A Plan for America (EHE) initiative, which aims to reduce the number of new HIV transmissions in the United States by 75% in five years and by 90% by 2030.

During and after the webinar, the HHS Office of Infectious Disease and HIV/AIDS Policy (OIDP), which is administering Ready, Set, PrEP, received many questions from stakeholders about the program. We were pleased to get thoughtful questions from those who want to help connect eligible patients and community members with this new program. We’ve been working with our HHS partners to answer the questions and post the first installment of responses (PDF, 547 KB) here. In the coming weeks, we’ll post additional responses to the Ready, Set, PrEP Resources page on HIV.gov.
