On Thursday, December 9, HIV.gov will host "The Updated National HIV/AIDS Strategy: What’s New and What’s Next? A Webinar on How to Use the Strategy.” This webinar will give participants an opportunity to hear how the Strategy can be used in communities to end the HIV epidemic, as well as how federal how federal officials plan to use the Strategy within their own departments. The conversation will feature:
- Harold Phillips, Director, The White House Office of National AIDS Policy
- Dafina Ward, Executive Director, Southern AIDS CoalitionExit Disclaimer
- Edwin L. Walker, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Aging, Administration for Community Living, U.S. Department of Health & Human Services
- Joe Carlile, Senior Advisor – Budget Policy and Programs, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development
Joining as facilitator for the session is Dr. Leo Moore, Medical Director for Clinical Services, Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, and a new member of the Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS (PACHA).
The session will be held from 3:00 – 4:00 pm (ET).
