The HIV.gov team thanks Dr. Grant Colfax, Director of the White House Office of National AIDS Policy (ONAP), for working with us on a video message to promote HIV testing for National HIV Testing Day (NHTD). In the video, Dr. Colfax stresses the availability of effective treatment for HIV and explains the need for people living with HIV to know their status so they can get the health benefits of early treatment. He also discusses President Obama’s support for the National HIV/AIDS Strategy, and encourages people to follow the example of the President and First Lady, who have taken HIV tests:
