CDCNPIN In the KnowThe Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's National Prevention Information Network (CDC NPIN) is pleased to announce an upcoming webcast series starting Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 2 PM EST, titled, "In the Know: Social Media for Public Health." Each webcast will feature social media experts discussing how to harness the latest social media tools for the greatest public health impact.

Sandwiched by the International Social Media Week (Feb. 18–22) and Mashable’s Social Media Day (June 30), NPIN’s “In the Know” webcast series is intended to celebrate the diversity and power of social tools. Over the next 6 months, these webcasts will provide basic information, tips, and hints for how public health organizations can use social tools to promote public health and expand outreach initiatives. The webcasts will also provide a great opportunity to ask questions and learn from fellow public health practitioners. Use hashtag #sm4ph to follow along and ask questions on Twitter. You can also submit questions before or during the webcast to info@cdcnpin.org.
