During AIDS 2020Exit Disclaimer, HIV.gov will lead a satellite session, Ending the HIV Epidemic: A Plan for America: A ConversationExit Disclaimer on Monday, July 6th at 3:00pm ET. The session will be a conversation between government and community leaders involved with implementing EHE, the government’s initiative working to lower the number of new HIV infections in the U.S. by 75% by 2025 and 90% by 2030. The session will also highlight the Ready, Set, PrEP program, a key component of EHE’s Prevent pillar, which provides free PrEP medications to people who qualify.

Harold Phillips, of HHS’s Office of Infectious Disease and HIV/AIDS Policy will moderate the questions and will be joined by: Dr. Carl Dieffenbach, NIAID; RADM Michael Toedt, IHS; Dr. Eugene McCray, CDC; Dr. Laura Cheever, HRSA; and Dr. Neeraj Gandotra, SAMHSA. Also joining the panel to provide real-time updates from EHE jurisdictions are Mr. Rafaelé Narváez, Latinos Salud in Wilton Manors, Florida and Mr. Justin Smith, Director, Campaign to End AIDS, Positive Impact Health Centers and Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Smith and Mr. Narváez are members of the Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS.

Conference registrants who join the conversation will be able to ask questions via chat for the last portion of the session.
