At HIV.gov, we're always looking for innovative ways to use new media to share information and engage our audiences in a conversation through the use of blogs, photosharing, video, chats, Instagram, Storify, and more.

We are inspired by our colleagues from across the country...and sometimes we can look here in Washington, DC. The White House is using multiple tools to engage people through multiple new media channels for tonight’s State of the Union address.

Enhanced Video

Tonight’s SOTU will feature graphics and charts. The White House made a video about what it would have looked like if other presidents had this technology available.

Video Chat: A Virtual Road Trip with Google Hangouts

President Obama is taking a virtual road trip across the country via Google Hangouts to discuss the issues and policies laid out in the speech with citizens joining from around the country. Ask the President your questions now, and watch live on January 31st.
