The Health Resources and Services Administration’s HIV/AIDS Bureau (HRSA/HAB) is currently supporting three open funding opportunities with deadlines in the weeks and months ahead. 

Funding for Interventions to Improve Health Outcomes among People Living with HIV: Deadline January 22
With funding from HRSA/HAB’s Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RHWAP), AIDS United, in partnership with the Fenway Institute, has announced an opportunity for grant support through the Using Evidence-Informed Interventions to Improve Health Outcomes among People Living with HIV initiative. Through this initiative, up to 24 RWHAP-funded sites will receive awards of up to $170,000 per year for an 18- to 33-month period to support the development and implementation of interventions in one of four focus areas:

• Improving HIV health outcomes for transgender women;
• Improving HIV health outcomes for Black men who have sex with men;
• Integrating behavioral health with primary medical care for people living with HIV; and
• Identifying and addressing trauma among people living with HIV.

Funding for Models to Improve Health Outcomes for Black MSM: Deadline February 5
HRSA/HAB also has announced two notices of funding opportunity soliciting applications for fiscal year 2018 for a new, three‐year RWHAP Part F Special Projects of National Significance Program (SPNS) initiative entitled Implementation of Evidence‐Informed Models to Improve HIV Health Outcomes for Black Men Who Have Sex with Men (BMSM). The initiative will support demonstration sites and an evaluation and technical assistance provider.

For the demonstration sites (FOA HRSA-18-047), HRSA/HAB will award grants to adapt and implement evidence-informed interventions and/or models to engage, link, and retain BMSM living with HIV in medical care and supportive services. The proposed interventions and/or models of care will include strategies to integrate behavioral health services, including substance use disorder treatment, with HIV care to specifically address the needs of BMSM and improve their health outcomes.

For the evaluation center (FOA HRSA-18-053), funding will be provided in the form of a cooperative agreement to support one organization for up to four years to lead a multi-site evaluation and provide technical assistance to a cohort of up to seven demonstration sites.

Funding for Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program Part C FY 2018 Capacity Development Program: Deadline March 9
Finally, HRSA/HAB has also released the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program Part C Capacity Development Program FY 2018 notice of funding opportunity (HRSA-18-051). The purpose of this program is to strengthen organizational infrastructure to respond to the changing health care landscape and to increase capacity to develop, enhance, or expand access to high-quality HIV primary health care services for low income, uninsured, and underserved people living with HIV.
