Marketplace April 30

The Health Insurance Marketplace is providing individuals and families who paid the fee for not having health coverage when they filed their 2014 taxes with one last chance to get covered for 2015.

Earlier this week, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) issued a statement reminding people that April 30, 2015 is the deadline for the Tax Season Special Enrollment Period. Uninsured tax filers who owe a fee on their 2014 taxes for not having minimum essential health coverage in 2014 can, during this special enrollment period, enroll in health coverage for the remainder of 2015through the Federally-facilitated Marketplace.
